You’ve put on a nice shirt, sorted your hair, but there is one element missing before you head out; Picking the right Eau De Parfum. I will endeavour to test out as many of the best available within the UK to help you make the right choice.
Today I’ve been testing out the Zilli Blue Titanium parfum, while I’ll describe below the scent, packaging and whether it’s worth the money.
How Does It Smell?
It has a ‘masculine’ scent to it, with base notes of patchouli and tobacco. I can certainly smell the patchouli in this bottle, creating a musky-earthy scent that is the most notable. It reminds me of walking through the woods and the smell of the trees around me.
However, you can also sense a slight citrusy and herby scent as well, which is undoubtedly impacted by the top notes, being bergamot, cardamom and sage.
How Much Do You Get?
The bottle comes as 100ml, meaning you can take it on the plane on holiday with you. As far as I could find, it only came in one size, while it was priced on the brand’s website as €116.67.
It was also available from Debenhams at the slightly higher price of £125, but the best pricing I could find was on a special offer with Perfume Direct for £59.99 (at time of writing).
If ordering from the branded website, they can ship worldwide with 2-3 days delivery, while they accept payment via Visa / American Express / Mastercard.
Alternatively, you can also find Zilli products in store in London, which is located near the Russell Square tube station
How Does It Come Packaged?
The outer layer can be slid off, to reveal a black casing which you can take the eau de parfum out of if you wish. The lid flicks up to reveal a blue interior and the spray inside.
The bottle is glass, with a silver coloured top and a light blue to black faded bottom half.
Where Is It Made?
While I struggled to find specific details about this online, the packaging and sticker on the bottle both stated ‘made in France’. France has a very strong reputation for the production of high quality perfumes, so this was a positive to see.
When Was It Launched?
From what I can find, this eau de parfum was launched back in 2020, one of five fragrances, the others being bois de feu, ambroisie, cuir imperial and cachemire noir eau de.
They also have other products in their range, including shoes, belts, leather goods, sunglasses, ties and socks, so you can have the complete look.
I have to admit that their sunglasses are particularly nice, so I might have to look into these in the future.
The Zilli range was first launched in 1965 in Lyon, as a sport chic style, but the perfumes are a newer segment of the brand’s history.
The core business focuses on leather goods and furs, working with ultra-fine calfskin suede, with their product range oozing quality and style.
