Having remembered that I had a Boots gift card sitting unused in my purse from my birthday, I thought it was the perfect time to purchase myself an indulgent make-up treat on my lunch break last Friday. I have always loved the Benefit range and had been meaning to try out one of their new(ish) brow sets to give mine a more defined look that didn’t appear unnatural.
One of the friendly make-up artists introduced me to the range and suggested that I would be best suited to the Benefit Soft and Natural Brows set. My brows are naturally quite dark so we decided that a shade three would be the best option for me to purchase in this set.
The set includes everything you need to give you the look of expert brows in the comfort of your own home; shaping stencils, stencil holder, Goof Proof brow pencil, High Brow pencil and a mini ready set brow gel mini. At just £31.50, the set was pretty good value considering that the two full sized products retail at around £18 each separately. Overall, I would definitely recommend this fab set to anyone looking for more definition which looks natural. I’ll now give you a quick run through of each of these dreamy products and how I found the general experience of using them.
Stencils and holder
There’s two different choices of stencil to decide between (straight and arched) and a handy stencil holder which will enable you to achieve those brows that you’ve always wished for. They’re super easy to use; simply place the stencil you want to use into the holder and pop the upper edge of the stencil along the base of your brow, before aligning the pink line with the highest point of your brow.
Goof Proof Brow Pencil
I love this pencil and it really gives your brows some good solid colour. On the opposite end is an applicator to smooth and groom your brows. once you’ve completed your baseline using the stencil, then fill in your brows with the pencil for a soft and natural look. Press firmly if you’re looking for more definition – the results look fab!
Ready, Set, Brow!
Smooth this clear gel over your freshly pencilled in brows to keep them looking tip top and making sure that everythings in place. Nobody wants stray brow hairs after all!
High Brow Pencil
This amazing highlighting pencil is the perfect item to finish off your look and brighten your features. Apply along the browline and blend was a radient and glowing look.
