I feel like I was only just relaxing on a beach in Italy, sipping on a Spritz in the summer sun, now I’m somehow writing a Christmas gift guide, how time goes so quickly. So if you’ve been scratching your head about what to buy someone recently, then I’m listing some great ideas below for inspiration.
I’ve included a broad range of items from different industries so you have a great choice to pick from, whether for your sister, your dad or your significant other.
Helly Hansen Unisex Odin Winter Gloves
Whether it’s a scarf, a good pair of gloves or a thick hat, Christmas is a great time to gift someone some winter-wear as the temperature drops low. Even more so if that special someone enjoys going skiing, hiking or generally out and about in the cold weather.
The Odin winter gloves are incredible as they have a 100% leather shell and PrimaLoft Black Eco insulation and are fully waterproof and breathable. I hate it when you get those thin cotton gloves and the moment you touch snow your hands feel wet, that certainly won’t happen with these.
The straps around the wrists means you can prevent snow sneaking in, as well as cold air travelling up, keeping those hands nice and warm. Plus the HH logo is instantly recognisable, making these both fashionable and cosy.
Edifier W320TN True Wireless Earbuds
These Edifier earbuds deliver hi-res audio performance with LDAC support, basically meaning a richer and clearer detail to your music.
They have adaptive noise cancellation powered by AI, which means it automatically adjusts to your environment for a clearer sound. It also has a triple-mic call tech built-in on the earbuds which will help to cut out background sounds.
I often wear big headphones, but they flatten the hair if I wear gel, while these are super lightweight and easily fit into your bag or pocket.
People often use the same earbuds or headphones for years, so getting these as a Christmas gift can be a really nice surprise, especially if you’ve noticed theirs look a bit ‘weathered’.
Annandale 10-Year-Old Man O’Words
My dad, my friends, virtually everyone I meet sees a bottle of whisky as the best gift you could ever gift someone. So if you know someone similar in your life, then a premium bottle which they can savour and sip slowly (or quickly if they prefer) can be a really thoughtful gift.
This single-cask, cask-strength single malt has no added colouring and no chill filtration. It’s matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask from Buffalo Trace, helping to provide a vanilla and toffee influence, which is exquisite.
This is truly a whisky in its purest form, while an ABV of 58.8% means it packs a powerful punch! The tasting profiles are mainly around orchard fruits, such as pears and apples, along with the previously mentioned vanilla and toffee notes.
You’re also ordering an unpeated single cask bottle from an independent Scottish distillery, which has matured for a decade with a limited edition release.
A Great Bottle Of Wine
When it comes to a nice gift for Christmas, it’s hard to go wrong with a nice bottle of wine, as long as you know their preferences. For example, my sister Kat loves a Sauvignon Blanc, therefore the Calvet Bordaaux Cuvee is a great option, available from Waitrose for £7, or you could opt for the JP Chenet which is available from Tesco’s for £7.25.
Both myself and my dad are more prosecco and sparkling wine drinkers and the Calvet Cremant Bordeaux Brut would fit the bill perfectly, plus it would be nice to have some bubbles with my dad at Christmas. Available from Ocado for £11, it’s soft and fruity and a great drink to get you in a festive mood.
If that special someone prefers a red, then La P’tite Pierre Rouge would go perfectly with pigs in blankets or roast beef. Any of those four would be an unbelievable gift!
Goodie Fermented Drink
Goodie by Cannumo is a fermented daily drink designed to help restore your gut balance and support digestion through a mix of 96 live bacteria strains. If you’re anything like me, you’ve become captivated by the gut brain axis and the gut microbiome.
Beforehand, I had been taking kefir once a day and occasionally a probiotic, but this drink is far more potent than typical probiotics with a much greater live culture concentration.
You have four flavours to pick from, I went for sea buckthorn with oats and honey, however you can go for blackcurrant, chokeberry or rye malt.
This is naturally low in sugar, while it’s free from preservatives and artificial additives. This might also be something I buy for my big sister this Christmas as I know she will be over the moon with this!
Helly Hansen Soft Rib Beanie
I spend my Christmas time in Bath visiting my mum, where we’re surrounded by hills and it’s pretty chilly. Every single time, I forget to pack my hat and gloves and desperately hope I’m getting one for Christmas wrapped up under the tree.
Well if you know someone like me who would really appreciate something to keep their head warm then this is a great gift, available in 4 different colours, but the snow-white really appeals to me.
I’ts unisex and has the famous Helly Hansen embroided logo on the front, while it’s super cosy underneath and it’s even made from recycled content, which you can feel proud of.
Teletubbies Warmies
How cute is this?! I grew up with Teletubbies on the TV, while now I have two little nieces who I get to see every Christmas and there is no greater joy than seeing their faces light up as they open up a present and I can share my childhood with them.
But this isn’t just a soft toy, it can be microwaved so it’s nice and toasty, offering you a warm hug. They’ve also scented it with French lavender, so the aroma after heating is actually really nice and makes you want it even closer.
I found ‘Noo Noo’ hilarious, I know me and my sisters will smile the moment they open this, but if you prefer, they have each of the 4 characters from Teletubbies as well as numerous other childhood characters or animal warmies.
Beauty Dropz
Anyone who has followed this blog for a while will be aware of my fascination with beauty products, having previously worked in the beauty industry, while I’ve always tried to bridge the gap between guys embracing beauty items into their lives. But enough of me waffling on…
Beauty Dropz take a different approach to much of the industry, focusing on oral consumption over a topical treatment, helping you to nourish your skin from within.
The marine collagen drops are orange flavoured (yum) and packed with fish collagen peptides, aloe vera and tremella mushroom, in order to improve skin elasticity and smooth those fine lines.
The retinol drops are berry flavoured (also tasty) and have vitamins A and E, formulated to help even out your skin tone and to boost collagen production, as well as brightening any dull complexion you may have.
Oral consumption does mean a fast absorption rate, while a 50ml bottle should last you about a month, providing you take it every day.
Hand Care Heroes Set
This is the ultimate gift set for those that are keen on protecting their hands, including a hand cream, hand was and skin fix. Everyone in my family uses hand cream, but I was slow to come round, not starting until I turned 35, then realising how much the cold weather affects them.
The hand wash is also amazing, providing a touch of luxury and quality to the bathroom or kitchen (for me it’s the kitchen, after touching chicken I want to know my hands are thoroughly clean), a significant step up on what most people purchase from the supermarket.
The caring skin fix is an intensive formula that you put on before bed in order to regenerate and protect the skin, ideal if your hands get dry consistently, or feel sore.
Tumbledown Gin Miniature Set
I do love a good gin. Who doesn’t? Well if you know someone that loves a G&T, then why not get them something that little bit special. Tumbledown gin is from the Falkland Islands and is a premium level quality (a full 50cl bottle costs £95).
Including 3 5cl bottles in the set, in the gin you’ll find juniper (obviously), scurvy grass (which provides a peppery taste), orange peel (for that citrus kick), angelica root & orris (an earthy flavour), coriander (a bit spicy) and liquorice.
They also have a coupon code for free delivery if you order by the 10th December, so don’t hesitate and order a set today, maybe an extra one for yourself so you can enjoy it too.
Oro Bailen Hojiblanca Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Whether you’ve been following Bryan Johnson, the multi-millionaire who is obsessed with longevity, or you’ve embraced the Mediterranean diet, one thing is clear, extra virgin olive oil is critical. In fact, Bryan claims it is by far the most important ingredient to have all day.
The issue is, when you pop to your local supermarket, the ones available don’t have evidence of their purity, while the ingredients will provide clues of mixed sources and quality. In contrast, the Oro Bailen Hojiblanca oil has a certificate of analysis visible on the Artisan Oil Company website.
I used to work in the CBD industry and read through certificates of analysis every day, you’re looking for the stated doses, any impurities, solvents, heavy metals, pesticides etc. Maybe I’m a bit of a health freak, but I can honestly say this would be my dream gift for Christmas. In fact, I often go to food festivals during the summer months and pick up a bottle. Therefore if you know someone else who is into their health but may not have the finances to spend a lavish amount on an extra virgin olive oil, then Christmas is the ideal time.
Phizz Daily Hydration Tablets
Whether that special someone loves going to the gym and needs some improved hydration, whether they’re a party animal and want to fight off the hangover effects or maybe they’re just health conscious, potentially even being stuck on a plane for an extended period of time, hydration tablets can be a really unique and thoughtful gift.
There are three options to pick from. You have the Daily 3-in-1, which combines hydration, electrolytes and multivitamins. It’s caffeine free (so they can still have their coffee alongside it), it’s vegan friendly and low calorie.
The second option is the Daily Energy for a good morning kick, containing caffeine and guarana. This one will also help to tackle dehydration and fatigue, while the b-vitamin complex is ideal for mental focus, getting you ready for the day ahead.
The third option is the Daily Immune, ideal with the cold lurking around, containing vitamins D, C, B6, A, E, zinc, selenium and iron. This is the immune boosting option to fight off any lurgies.
Divine Dark Chocolate Lover’s Bundle
Every member of my family is hooked to dark chocolate, while almost everyone I know sneaks a few pieces in the evening, me included.
But picking the right dark chocolate for someone is difficult. My mum prefers it with ginger, I like it fruity (such as with raspberries or cherries), my big sister likes mint, my little sister likes salted and my dad will eat any flavour.
This is where a bundle pack comes in use, whether you’re sending a pack for someone where you’re not sure which they’d prefer, or you order a bundle and send them individually to multiple people. They even work as secret santa gifts.
You get 7 bars in a pack, including a plain dark chocolate, ginger & orange, raspberries, pink Himalayan salt, mint crisp, hazelnut truffle and fruit & nut.
Style 4 Ever Magic Clay Jewellery Maker
There are a few gifts from my childhood that I remember me, my big sister and little sister craved but never got. I always wanted the medieval castle with a drawbridge, my big sister wanted the Mr Frosty slush maker and My Baby All Gone, while my younger sister always wanted a jewellery maker set.
I should mention, we had happy childhoods and plenty of toys, but it’s the gifts you don’t get that stay in your mind and I remember I even thought the jewellery makers looked fun. Well you can order one so you can share a moment with your child, helping them to design rings, bracelets, pendants and more.
It’s a kid-safe oven, while your clay is ready in just 3 minutes and you can get working on creating some jewellery together.
Paddington Bike and Side Car
Paddington Bear was part of my parents childhood, part of mine and it’s more popular than ever following the huge success of the movies.
Now your child can play with Paddington on his bike, plus it comes with a side car for Pigeonton to ride along. That’s right, we’re talking about a pigeon with a top hat on, can I keep this for myself? This is a great gift for ages 3+, costing £18 and available from Argos, Amazon and Hamleys.
We Bare Bears Plush Toy
I still remember getting a big bear for Christmas when I was young, even as I grew up, it was the one toy I didn’t want to get rid of. A soft toy is always an amazing gift for anyone young you have to buy for, while I know this is the kind of gift that would light up my niece’s eyes.
Available on the Miniso website, there are a number of plush toys to pick from, including ones focused around famous TV shows and movies. They also have a few different bear options in the ‘We Bare Bear’ brand range, whether you’d prefer a grizzly or a panda.
My First Stars of Hogwarts – Dobby
My favourite book growing up was Harry Potter, while the films were just as magical. Now you can share those memories with your little one with a cute Dobby or Harry toy.
This Harry Potter plush is an amazing cuddle companion. Who doesn’t love the little house-elf obsessed with socks? You can sit down and watch the movies with that special person for Christmas so they can learn all the characters.
Collagen Glow Up Powder
Collagen drinks are popular as an option for those trying to fight the signs of ageing with their skin, those that are looking for joint and tendon support or for those looking for a boost for their hair and nails, while it’s best form is in bovine collagen peptides.
Nutrition Geeks have a number of great supplements on their website, while the Collagen Glow Up provides a hefty 14,000mg (420g pack), with a 14g serving being a portion, meaning this is a full months helping.
They conduct a three step filtering process to ensure the highest quality collagen and this doesn’t contain any nasty ingredients like heavy metals or solvents.
Craft Buddy Frozen Mega Activity Set
My neice is 100% obsessed with Frozen! While I grew up with Lion King being the greatest Disney movie, nowadays they’re obsessed with Frozen. But the real beauty of this gift is you can sit down and try a craft activity with them.
They’ll be able to make and create something with this mega activity set, such as a fridge magnet or stickers. There are numbered dots, so it’s not too complicated for a child, while also pushing them to be creative and have fun away from the TV screen.
Peter Rabbit Posting Game
I used to have a game like this growing up, based around supermarket shopping and it was one of me and my sisters favourite games when we were young. Plus, everything Beatrix Potter is incredible, especially Peter Rabbit.
This Peter Rabbit Posting Game is a fun way to get your child recognising and matching colours. Ideal for a child 2+, you get 4 3D houses, as well as 24 coloured cards to play with. There are also three different games which you can teach them, to keep the game evolving.
