Finding A Classy & Stylish Gym Bag

As much as I hate early mornings, I have committed to waking up at the crack of dawn to go to the gym before work. I turn up in trackies and trainers, yet have to shower and get suited up as soon as I’m finished.

I can completely cloak the gym look, all but my bag. I have been using a rucksack to hold my gym kit, which looks fine at first, but a rucksack just looks odd when you’re wearing a suit. This is where my love for duffel bag’s has grown.

They feel like the next accessory to the suited and booted look, looking insanely classy, but also acceptable when going to the gym.

They look best in dark colours, or at least closely matching the colour of the suit worn. They don’t always look great when flung over the shoulder, but when holding the handles they tend to look quite James Bond-esque.

The recent addition to the collection is the Jim Bag black on black barrel bag. One thing I really like about this bag is it is clearly durable. I have bought bags beforehand, where rain is its arch-nemesis, instantly seeping through, however the barrel bag doesn’t let in a drop.

It also holds itself together well when the items inside are heavy. Trust me, I packed it with rice after doing a food shop and it looked a sturdy addition.

Due to the smaller size, I would however recommend purchasing the Black & Cream holdall on the Jim Bag website, as this is the perfect size for all your gym kit and more.

The barrel bag does have a double whammy winner for me, as I regularly travel to London, either for work or for a night out on the weekend. I have the choice of an overly large rucksack or just carrying everything in my pockets. This barrel bag has offered an alternative option, which at £39.99 looks incredibly reasonable.

Next on the list are some top quality vests, as well as some running shoes.
