- Avoid touching/ stroking your hair as much as possible.
- Use shampoos and conditioners that don’t contain sulphates and silicones.
- Try a gel instead of a mousse to style your hair.
- Use a diffuser instead of a regular hair dryer attachment.
- Avoid drying your hair on a hot setting.
- Dry your hair using the ‘pixie method’.
- Always use a heat protector product.
- Wash your hair as little as you can. Once a week is perfect.
- To give your 2 day old hair a boost, spray with water and scrunch with gel.
- Try not to brush your hair dry.
- Use a wide toothed comb instead of a brush.
- Find a stylist that is a specialist in curly hair.
- The shorter your hair, the more curly it will be.
- Once a month, wash your hair with baby shampoo to get rid of build up.
- Use a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo.
- Do a coconut oil treatment once a week.
- Do a deep condition once a week.
- Silk pillowcases will help to keep your hair in place overnight.
- Put your hair in a loose ponytail on the very top of your head overnight to keep your curls intact.
- Use coconut oil or olive oil on the ends to keep them from drying out.
