A trip to SlimChicken in Brighton

Brighton is home to some absolutely incredible restaurants, perfect when popping out for some lunch on my work break!

Considering how excited I was to hear all about Andy’s wedding, a friend of mine who headed over to Greece for his big day, a trip to Slim Chickens was in order.

I haven’t actually been here before, I’ve spotted it as I’ve walked along Queen’s Road from Brighton station, so it felt about time I went in.

Serving the Hungry Platter with 7 tender strips, tasty chips, Texas bread and some great dips, this was certainly a filling lunch!

The staff were beyond friendly, helping us with our order and guiding us on what was best. The restaurant was also very clean, which is a must.

The chicken offered the perfect level of crispiness, while they were cooked really well meaning they were still very juicy.

The Texas Toast was interesting, much more similar to garlic bread than I expected, which I love.

I opted for a garlic & cheese dip, as well as a gravy. The garlic and cheese dip worked perfectly with the chips, well who can say no to cheesy chips?

Andy went for a burger sauce, which had a potent mustard flavouring, as well as one other (which has slightly slipped my mind).

It’s good to see they provided plenty of services you would expect and hope for, such as baby high-chairs.

I would love to start visiting more restaurants in Brighton and writing about them, so this may be the start of a number of similarly themed articles, so please do let me know your feedback or any restaurants you would like to hear more about.
